1900  Ernst Bucher founds his "Institut für Elektrotechnik, Optik & Mechanik" in Ravensburg, managed by Raimund Finsterhölzl

1908  Raimund Finsterhölzl (RaFi) becomes the owner of the company.

1952  Personnel: 64 employees,  turnover: € 0.8 million

1970  Development and production of the first RAFI keyboard

1983  Development and production of flat data entry systems

1987  RAFI is taken over by Hoesch AG, later Krupp-Hoesch

1991  Foundation of RAFI Hungary (RAFI Hungaria KFT)

1993  DIN EN ISO 9001 certification (DQS)

1994  RAFI becomes a private company again, 
           new partner: Albert Wasmeier

1996  Takeover of PIM (French membrane keyboard manufacturer)

2002  Introduction of SAP R/3

2005  Foundation of RAFI Systec GmbH & Co. KG
           Takeover of Elcoteq, Überlingen, Germany, now RAFI Eltec GmbH

2006  ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification (DQS)

2007  RAFI Group: 1,843 employees, turnover € 365 million

2008  Foundation of RAFI Electronics Co. Ltd., Shanghai, CHINA

2009  Takeover of Dekorsy GmbH, now RAFI Dekotec GmbH

2009  ISO 13485 certification

2011  ISO 14001 certification
